Hello all lenovo supporters! My first post in this forum :) Thinking about getting a new laptop and sell my "old" one to my roomie. Nothing wrong with my acer aspire 5520, never had any problems with it unlike many other it seems. On the other hand I take good care of my gadgets, no spilling softdrinks on it or dropping it. Anywho...gonna sell it while it still has some second-hand value. I´m studying to be a network technician so I need something that wont break easily and with good all-round qualities.

I´ve heard that Lenovo=good quality but they don´t come for cheap. So I´ve done some price comparisons on the web and found the N500. Seems like a really good bang for the bucks. Since I use the computer for allround stuff it seems good enough performance wise and the 9300 GS will even run some "newer" game decently.

I just want some opinions, keep in mind that I´m a poor student at the moment ;) http://www.inwarehouse.se/k/ki.aspx?sku=405834&cks=&assoc=BF4CA933-0872-4153-A3DD-1CF6139E24C0 less than 500€ :)

If you're a poor student, then keep what you got. The n500 is not a ThinkPad, which are known for their quality.

I agree, the N500 is not good quality. It's no better in terms of build quality from what you have now, they use cheap parts on the old N500 line to keep costs down for the consumer market.

don't go for the SL line either as it's a thinkpad in name only.
