I have read where some wideband cards, for instance, will not work in the
X200 (and others I believe) without throwing a BIOS error. I imagine that this is probably true for any device where LENOVO has their own branded part?

Suppose I wanted to use one of the mini PCI slots for some other device (nothing in mind yet...asking just in case)...is the BIOS whitelist set up to complain about *all* non-Lenovo cards or will it allow the slot to be used for any other non-Lenove device where Lenovo does not provide such?

    thanks

You might wish to post this on ThinkPads.com. Someone there is probably more informed about the situation than I. I know Lenovo has in the past whitelested cards in the BIOS, which means they won't without a BIOS hack, but I'm not up to date on the newer models.
