    Hi,

i apologise if this is in the wrong section. Basically i am having this Standby problem from my new T60. Under power management, i have set the laptop to go into standby when lid closed. But when i open the lid, the laptop does not wake up. I will then have to reboot the laptop.

    Anyone else experience this problem?

    Pls help. Thanks in advance.

Does pressing the "FN Key" help wake it up? Also what version of PM manager are you on and what OS are you running? My T60 is on v1.02 (PM Manager)

Oh I just remembered something..ding ding ding !

Fire up Thinkvantage in Windows and check and see if Intel Chipset Support 5 is installed on your system. It's listed under critical devices.

You should be on v1.15 PM manager

And there's a new BIOS update just posted on 6/11/07.

edit: Your Power Management Driver should be v1.42 as the problem was fixed in version 1.21

Version 1.21 (Certified on Windows 2000/XP, Not certified on Windows Me)
Note: Windows 98 Logo program was terminated.

    * (New) Support for Fn + F7 function.
    * (Fix) LCD screen is black out after waking up from lid close hibernation on log on screen of Windows 2000/XP

Here's the driver for that: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-4GXPEG
