    Currently running, Windows Vista home
    everything work fine until today,
I can't get onto internet, my other computers are fine
but this X61 isnt. Its wireless connection AGN,
it doesnt connect to the internet.

I have tried ipconfig /renew and release over prompt, but
it wont let me do that and it says 'the requested operation requires elevation'
I even tried to do system restore, some how system restore wont work either.

Can anyone can think what the problem is ?
I have connected to Public wireless lastly and it was universities..

Oooh. That's odd about System Restore and the prompt stuff. What exactly happens when you try and connect?

    Ok, starts from here, today,
turn on the computer and it said new hardware detected
    need software,
    I ignore that,
and tried to connected to internet,
it gets signal from Router, however
it wont connect and says that It cannot be connected to internet
and gets error code 229377, cannot connected to DHCP SERVER
    (other 3 computers work FINE)

I cant even run the disgonastic,
its says that it I have to turn on the diagonatisc service
so I did (choose automatic instead of manual)
and it tried to do this manually, and again, I get error msg again...

    You shouldn't have ignored it.

Go into your Device Manager (right click Computer, then properties) and click to the Hardware tab then click Device Managers.

Do you see any unknown devices?

Start thinking to reinstall this computer and go back to factory setting through Thinkvantage restore problem

right click the unknown device and remove ..

oh and one other thing, firewall is disabled
I try to turn it on, however I get error msg again.

How do you think about the use backup to restore
    computer into factory setting?

You're not supposed to remove it...you're supposed to identify it by installing the appropriate driver...

Anyways, you should restore it using factory restore.
