All three of models you are looking at would work. I would go with the i3-380Um as Intel tends to run cooler, more battery life, etc.

What is the price difference between the Edge 13 and E420? The i5 2410 is a huge leap in CPU performance and still a big GPU improvement compared to the other models you're looking at.

That second link is a E420s since it uses a li-po battery. A astonishingly high price. A E420 should be significantly cheaper. Can also refer to the thin-and-light link in my sig with a comparison of other systems which you may wish to shortlist, eg: 14" Dell Vostro 3450 or 13"/14" HP Probook 4330s/4430s.

 

i am not sure why European customers are charged at this price. They are probably sold through intermediaries whom maybe taking a large cut.

In Australia, lenovo ANZ is dropping the Thinkpad prices pretty aggressively.

Usually Lenovo lists the Thinkpad Wireless Card spec like 1 x 1 or 2 x 2. I wouldn't get the 1 x 1 model, as it is not capable of going to 5 ghz N mode or MIMO for that matter.
