This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Does the n100 support only pc5300 sodimms?
    I just got 2 1gb pc4200 sticks and at startup i get a message that the ram is incompatible

    Is that how it's supposed to be? No backward compatibility???

    this is the message i get and that is the ram
    i didn't get a chance to test it on other laptops. but since i have 2 and bought them new, it's a pretty remote chance that they are both faulty
