I wish they would let you sort by price.
-
These are not CTO models are they. They are just refurb ones right?
-
Select all and paste into excel - you can sort however you want. there are some slick deals to be found.
From the website: "These are new Lenovo PCs that were ordered and then cancelled or returned unopened."
How many times have you seen a thread here about people canceling their order at the last minute? This is where they end up. -
These are all good prices this is a little too good to be true. Are these used laptops or just returns?

These are some pretty nice deals. I am guess that the T61 WUXGA models are actually T61p's with FX570M, even though they don't state it, right?
-
One can safely assume that these come with the multicolored IBM badge and not the new ones being seen as of late, correct?
Thanks, watchtower, for posting this. -

I think it is time.

For those who don't know you can find out the part # of all those models listed on the outlet page.
In short you can find out if you're getting an LG-Phillips or a Sammy panel, an ALPs,NMB or Chicony kb. This could be better than straight ordering and not knowing what you're getting...this way you know full well what you're paying for.
From the outlet page there's a column for 'part number' and 'Product Code'. The product code is the model type.
For example I find under product code "6459CTO". The model type is 6459. For the serial no. look at the part number. If thepart number is 645L3A2595, the serial number will be the last 7 letters ie L3A2595.
So from the example above, armed with the model number (6459) and the serial (L3A2595), you can look up the parts page and see what parts they are -
wow very cool! rep for you morph
-
repped as well for creativity - very cool, especially with such anxiety over parts here.
-

, wish I had this when I ordered mine heh, the T7700 with LG screen and a sweet price too ah damn.

Wow. Really good deals on the x61s. I would bite for a x61t though... pity none of those prices match what pricegrabber.com shows.
-
I paid $1600 for my T60p. There are several of them in there for less than $700
one that has a 2.33ghz processor with 160gig hd...this would have cost over $2300
I can't look anymore
some models in there with flexview -
Remember all those people complaining about their laptops, and returning them for a variety of reasons..............I wonder -
My rep stated they are new/not refurbs/not opened.
-
You mean complaining about forgetting to upgrade and getting the T7100 instead of the T7300? Or the lid moves .000002 mm up and down? Or one hinge is bigger than the other? Or missing a screw on the underside? Or not getting a power cord and giving it to UPS without saying a word?
The only one I wouldnt want is MonsterMaxxs; he probably punched the screen before sending it back to unethical, defective Lenovo to make some kind of retarded statement to Tony Bumarch.
Theyre supposed to be unopened, though, I wouldnt worry about it too much if you like the deal. -
And my rep said call him (he gave me his extension) if any problem with specs, condition etc.
Seems like this might be the way to buy Lenovo so you dont get hours of effing around with non english speaking reps if you can ever get through at all. -
wearetheborg Notebook Virtuoso
Unfortunately the prices only include a one year warranty right ?
-
look at the warranty length on the last cell-mine has 3yr
-
they are not all necessary 1 year warranty...when you do a parts lookup, theres a link on the page to check for the warranty status. One I checked randomly had 3 year. Another had 2 year so they might not all be std warranty.

update: the warranty from the original order doesn't look like it transfers even tho the description might state otherwise. The std warranty applies. -
wow...cringing...can't look anymore
-
I probably should not have put the eye roll in there. It was supposed to be a comment about how Lenovo has lowered their standards (to say the least) and are re-offering their defective notebook. Also kinda hopeful thinking on my part knowing how much I paid for mine when there are several there for less than a third of the price I paid, and new ones at that. I would have felt better if they were the returned ones. -
Is this specific to US citizens? Or can a Canadian buy one and ship it to a US address and then have it shipped to Canada?
-
Not sure if custom ordering restrictions apply to the outlet ones but I would assume so.
I had a US address to ship to and that's how I got mine. How you get it across the border after that will be entirely up to you.
edit: and I think you need a CC with a US address too, AmEx might work but I'm not sure. -
you def need a US credit card with a US address...it won't work otherwise
-
Can you provide a link to the parts page. I can't seem to find it.
Thanks
Rut -
Great. I can see my parts. Is there a way to see the mfg with these numbers?
-
well the only parts that matter are the screen and keyboard. You can do a search on the forums for the FRU number and it should generally have been answered before.
Failing that you can always post the FRU here and ask. -
Hopefully there'll be very few lemonos in amongst these bargain basement priced lenovos.
-
Just got a T61 with 14.1 WXGA+ w/camera 2.4ghz, 3gb ram, 100gb 7200rpm,BT,fingerprint reader, nvidia 140, vista ultimate, intel wireless the one with the N and LG screen and NMB keyboard, dvd burner, the works etc...basically a 2800+ computer for 1310. Good deal imo.
-
-
Under 'Warranty Status' they all say " out of warranty'.
Anyway anyone ordering it's prudent to check with your rep..and ask if they can sell you extd. warranty if you need it.
edit: since the outlet page does not differentiate between p and non-p models for T61's , check this thread for updates on what could be FRU #s to tell if the listing is a T61p ( comes with 570M) vs a T61 (comes with 140M). -
Can anyone tell me if they ship to europe, or are these offers restricted to US customers?
-
good deal. definitely worth it. hope you get it fast
i got mine...a 2.4ghz, 3gb ram, 100gb 7200, nvidia 140, intel turbo mem, 14.1 wxga+, bt, fpreader, ultimate etc...the works. for 1350 including tax and free shipping. Love people returning their laptops...One man's trash, another's treasure...hehe.
-
nice deals! too bad I bought my t61p a while ago...
-
Going through the list I cannot find a T61p it just says T61 widescreen but none of them have the Quadro 570M.
-
Ok I got a little further I have found T61 with the quadro 140 but i want the 570, which the the T61p model the CTO for this notebook is 6459, but the same goes for the normal T61 so it is hard to distinguish the 2.
-
PLZZZZZZZZZZZ Help I am going CRAZY!
-
There are 570ms if you do a parts lookup using the method outlined earlier in this thread but not many. The thread that covers the FRU#'s as to which card is 570m and 140M is here but it is by no means definitive.
edit: if your screen choice is wuxga then they're all T61p's (570m 256mb)
Also from some reports, that outlet page is rather outdated and they have since have newer models that aren't listed (which incl T61p). My best advise is to call a rep, give them the specs you want and get them to recommend a model from the updated list. -
do you guys have any problems with those outlet laptops so far? It seems little bit strange - too good to be true...
-
Well I just ordered mines yesterday so Ill tell ya when I get it next week. Anyways yeah the 570m is on there just gotta look and yeah the rep usually has a more updated list.
-
btw, I have two more questions
1)when does the outlet deal expire?
2)is shipping 100% free? how many days will it take? -
1. When somebody buys the laptop you are looking at. First come first served. These are not configure to order.
2. Shipping free. They claim 3 days to ship, probably 1 week total. Unless you need it right away, then 2 weeks.
By the way, on the "out of warranty issue"-I am pretty sure that is changed when you order/recieve your laptop. I think they "out of warranty" them automatically when they are returned/cancelled and then initiate the warranty when repurchased.
Only thing that makes any sense, but YMMV.
lenovo outlet just restocked-ymmv
