It depends on coverage in the areas you travel in. Verizon has much better overall coverage if your travels are a little more random or spread out but it will still vary.

Hi, I've ordered x200 from Lenovo US without WWAN card (I live in Europe and I can't use ATT or Verizon) and instead I'm thinking to install this card [sierrawireless.com/product/mc878x.aspx) with WWAN and even GPS and without any "forced" mobile subscriptions.

Do you think my "american" x200 (7454CTO) would support this card?

    Best wishes,

    Julius

it should, there are vodafone cards in europe that can fit into the X300 since they all have the same dimensions

just double check and confirm with lenovo support though

There is a high probability that any non-Lenovo branded card (despite it just being a re-branded card) will not work due to BIOS lock limitations that exist in Thinkpads. Do not buy a non-Lenovo card unless you get confirmation that it will work.
