Could anyone please tell me where from can I buy a X301 keyboard? The one that I have has started to flex and 2 keys have popped out and I can't fix them in place.....

    Thanks!

If you are still under warranty, that will be the best option. Lenovo is very quick about sending replacement keyboards.

But if you don't mind me asking... what do you guys do to make keys pop out, dance on your keyboards?

Not sure. I don't treat mine particularly well, but if I get some stuff stuck under I blow it out as soon as I can. My x200's keyboard's only fault is that it is shiny on the keys I use a lot. Great aside from that :).

yes, some people have a fiddly finger (i am guilty of that too). I have ruined at least 4 keyboards, because i took the keys off due to boredom, and somehow lost some key mechanisms in the process. So now if one of my newer keyboards ever get in trouble because of lost key or mechanisms i can take the parts from these 4 keyboards (not going to work for X30x, X6x, X200, i don't have many spare keyboards for these nor are they compatible with my T6x type keyboards). Also, the keys and mechanisms of the different makers of keyboard may not match up either, so i have to be careful when i get bored on alps or nmb keyboards.

Like other have said, I didn't do anything in particular. They keys just popped out. I use the laptop quite intensely. Apart from this, I'm really satisfied with my x301.

I was thinking of ordering the keyboard on ebay or similar but I will contact Lenovo just to be sure a buy a genuine keyboard.

Yeah, I get that too. The best way to minimize that is to wipe your keyboard down with a 50/50 water-rubbing alcohol mixture every week, which is what I do. Make sure the machine is off while you do so, in case you accidentally spill half a bottle of alcohol on it ;)
