Please describe your situation a little more, or upload a photograph of the lines that you are seeing, and where they are on your computer.

Perhaps you speak of physical marks on your screen from the keyboard rubbing on to it when the display is closed which may be partially nulled by using a moist cloth and rubbing on the screen.

Take a towel and a bit of windex and wipe them of. Duhhhhhh. Stupid questions = stupid answers.

Maybe the problem I am having is similar to the one your having. I am having white lines appear randomly on the screen on my R61. mainly they are at the time of my screen but sometimes they flicker and flash horizontally across the entire monitor. It only happens sometimes and twisting the corner of the monitor gets rid of the for a while. When the lines are gone the display works normally as far as I can tell. My problem is in detail Here maybe if its similar we can help each other find the part thats going bad.

I'm just saying. His questions should have went into more detail. He shouldn't ask questions if he asks them like that.
