The harddrive is smaller than the standard 2.5" one's I see in most notebooks. Is there a name for this type harddrive? Any pointers on where to buy new drives would be appreciated. (like model number's, does anyone sell them besides lenovo, etc.)

    Thanks

I always thought that the HDs were just typical SATA 2.5?

The T41 has a standard 2.5" ATA (PATA) drive. You can pick one up at your local office supply store (OfficeMax, Staples, Office Depot) or online at Newegg.com (among other places). Just don't get a SATA drive. It won't work.
