Gents, sorry if this has been asked already, but I haven't been able to find any info on it.
I currently have a SSD in my x220. I wanted to dual boot Windows 7 and XP so I could use my work VPN on my personal computer, but there are two limitations:
1. Too little space - 128mb M4, currently has about 35gb left over. More than enough for XP, but I'd like more space for future needs
2. TRIM support in XP - seems I'd have to do a loooot of tweaking to make XP ssd-friendly
My question is, would it be possible to install XP on the HDD, then install Win7 on the mSATA drive and dual boot this way without negatively affecting the mSATA drive?
If not it's totally fine, as I have my work computer, the benefit being I wouldn't have to lug both when I travel![]()
Thanks for any light-shedding![]()

I did this on my W520. First I installed XP on the HDD on the HDD bay. Then I removed the HDD and installed the mSATA SSD and installed Windows 7. Then I put the HDD back in. I press F12 at boot to specify which OS I wanted to boot into.
