make the july 9th sale or wait?

I'm really itching to purchase the T61 by tomorrow, but does anyone strongly feel I could/should wait?

I'm not so interested in the new stuff, i.e. the t61p, but I would like to obtain the best price. Could some of the ibm notebook vets help me out?

 

Just wait. This current sale sucks as it is. Of course, if you asked anyone two months ago, they would've told you to wait for this sale. LOL

 

Since I need to sell my Macbook first, I'm forced to wait, but I already have a buyer lined up and should receive the money this week.

Hopefully the next deal will be better. I'll be angry if the price after the 9th is even higher.

 

Too true. This sale is good enough, go for it. Seriously. Everyone was like "The July 4th sale is going to rock, wait for it!". Obviously Lenovo being a Chinese company couldn't care less.

 

Well, it's not exactly because they don't care.
They've been overwhelmed with orders and pissed off customers still waiting for their orders to be shipped.
When (if) things slow down, then we'll see better deals.
(But back to school is not exactly the slow time of the year though).

 

i'm gonna wait until the price drops.. I don't need it... maybe an x62s will come out...

 

actually, i'm pretty sure they don't care, anymore than the average american cares about the cultural revolution. or for that matter, chinese new year. it's not like the white people get money ^^.
