yesterday when i was using the computer and plugged in the computer while it was on, a balloon popped up saying that maximum lifespan mode is enabled. i did not change anything either. does anyone know why this randomly enabled? when will it be disabled though. right now after unplugging it i still see a green outline around the battery. anyone else had this happen?

also i have not ran the laptop while on ac mode for a whiel. i usually use the lpatop to about 50 percent and than plug it in to charge it.

Maximum life span mode kicks on if you aren't using a majority of your battery on a regular basis. I think it pretty much hides about 20 percent of your battery capacity (only charges to 80% or so). This will prolong the life of your battery. The next time you use near all of it (I'd guess getting it to 20 percent or below) it should flip back to normal mode.

If you don't want it to do that and wish to control is manually go into the power manager's advanced settings and flip it to a custom charge threshold.
