I'm thinking of upgrading the memory on my T440s. It comes with 4GB and according to 'Speccy', it says it's 4GB Single Channel DDR3 memory at 800MHz.

Does anyone know if 4GB consists of one 4GB memory stick or 4GB is soldered on the motherboard with a free slot? I know I could just find out by opening the case but is there is another way of finding out beforehand.

    TIA

    It's a single 4GB 1600MHz DDR3 stick - if there were 2, it would list dual-channel

I believe the T440s has one soldered 4GB stick, so if yours has 4GB, there should an empty slot.
