    memory install problem

    so i was putting a PNY 1gb ddr2 5300 stick in my t61
    but for some reason i couldn't fit it in
    when i took out the original stick on the bottom i noticed that
    the spaces didn't line up and i couldn't get it in the upper level.
    am i doing it wrong or is the stick bad? most likely i'm doing it wrong

    try to take out ur installed memory. is it exactly at the same size with ur new memory ?

    well the lengths are the same but the space toward the right side is a little off

    Sounds like its the wrong type of RAM -- did you order/receive PC2-5300?
