Just moved from XP to Windows 7 on my R61. The middle TrackPad button doesn't work in Firefox. I downloading a beta win7 ultranav utility (along with the Active Protection and Power Management utilities/drivers), but the middle TrackPad button still doesn't work.

Sorry about the noob questions, but what am I missing here? How to I find the appropriate TP drivers and utility bits?
While I'm at it, what other Lenovo utilities or drivers should I install?

    TIA, ~john

I think you have to install that driver first then the utility.
My middle button is perfectly functional after I did a clean install to obtain 7 Professional.

I'm not sure about your trackpad problem but some utilities I find useful for me are Power manager, Access Connections, and Thinkvantage Toolbox.

just install system update and i'll install everything you need for you (and you can choose so you don't have to install everything it prompts you to)

The latest version of the UltraNav driver and utility should enable the middle button for you. The drivers are not in beta anymore, so if you downloaded a beta driver, it might not be the latest one.

ALso, there is a 32bit and 64bit version of the Ultranav driver available. Make sure you download the right one. From the UltraNav utility, there is only one version, for both 32bit and 64bit systems.

    32bit UltraNav driver:

    64bit UltraNav driver:

But you can also choose to just install System Update. It should then update all your drivers to the latest version available.

The previous versions of System Update do not work with Windows 7 (if you had one of those, uninstall it). The latest version (4.0) can be found here:

Thanks... I had apparently installed the Ultranav utility without the driver. In any event, it works now(!)
