    I never use it.
    Duct tape it?
    any idea what lenovo would charge for shipping one out?

    you don't need the cardbus slot cover but it never hurts to have it.

    typically that part is only included with the palmrest.   it might be part of the miscellaneous parts kit for the upper half.   i recommend calling IBM parts at 800-388-7080.   select options 2, 1, and 1.   when you speak with a representative, ask for tech support for parts.   ask if FRU 42W2636 contains the door you need.   if it does, patch back through to parts sales and you can order it for $25.81 plus tax and shipping.

    otherwise, you could just leave it.   the only thing it changes is that it won't pull as much air over your wireless card since the hole on the left will be bigger than the adjacent group of holes on the right.
