    msata or ssd, this is the question!

    "full" ssd? It depends on how you define "full ssd"...

    Anyway, I don't use my dvd rom much, maybe if I do a clean install of windows. My goal is to have a fast drive to load my applications, do number crunching in excel, virtual machines, ppt, and photoshop smoothly without lag.

    Should I go for SATA3 (6Gb/s) OR SATA2 (3Gb/s) would be enough?

    No :) You should check official statement speed of that mSATA SSD and compare to normal usual SSD. If you have 3 sata slots then you have enough place for SATA SSD. Just check, compare with SATA SSD and decide yourself.

    If you have SATA III slot then buy SATA III SSD anyway.
