if you were to buy a x200t, and the two display are the same price, which one would you choose and why?

in other words, would you give-up 130nits for the multi touch function?

    outdoor viewable
the multitouch film lowers the sharpness of the display
and i don't think i'd use multitouch functionality often if at all

what you buy would depend on what you use your laptop for.

If you use your laptop constantly outdoor then it would be advisable that you get the better display.

While, if you need to use hand input for specifically written software used in certain industry, then you should get a multi touch....

But, given that you can use a stylus for input, the provision of a better display seems to be a wiser choice.

Until more applications show up that are multitouch aware, outdoor viewable is the more practical choice.

It makes even more sense if you were buying a Dell XT2.

Take it from a tablet user.

I was referring to the marked advantage of the outdoor viewable over the multi-touch.

As far as the XT2 v X200T, that's a whole nother thread. Personally, I prefer the XT2 to the X200t.

I love the display I have on my x200 Tablet (285 nit LED Frameless). However, if I were to buy it again today I would get the Enhanced Multi-Touch.

The extra brightness of the "Sunlight" display is not needed except for the most extreme cases. Touch is slowly becoming more useful (it had very few applications when I got my x200T 14 months ago). Additionally, the Enhanced Multi-Touch is supposed to be true IPS (at least in many cases) rather than S-PVA and should offer even higher display quality.

Well, it will never replace the stylus. But it will help touch users access more features of the interface. And is the future. Who knows how soon though. It could be two years, it could be ten years, depending on how motivated developers are. The tools have been in place for years now.

Currently, menu system is just a poor system for touch users.
