I plugged in my laptop to an external screen and the NVIDIA control panel asked me to do the setup thing in the beggining. By accidently I skipped the step and now I cant the option to set this up.

If you open the nVidia control panel you will still be able to configure the screens however you want.
-
You could just unplug the screen and plug it back in...just figure it out.

Just try out playing with settings/drivers. And what does the windows display properties indicate? And actually I don't even know what your issue is. You didn't "setup" the monitors? What do you need to setup? You just set the resolution and whether you're extended it or using it as a mirrored display, etc. -

.Vista or XP?
-
-
Right click desktop > personalize
Click "display settings"
You should see your two displays marked as "1" and "2"
Click and drag display 2 from the right side of display 1 to the left side.
Click apply.
Done. -
-
Click "Identify"
Describe current monitor locations (both in that Window, and physically)
For example:
In Windows:
2 1
Physically:
1 2 -
How do I set this up using nVidia control panel though?
-
Why do you need to use the nVidia control panel? They will both do the same thing...
I really prefer using Windows' native tools for things when possible, it's usually more intuitive.
I also won't be able to tell you really, as nVidia changes their control panel ALL THE TIME. I haven't used it in ages and chances are, we don't have the same version installed. -
-
I don't know.

Usually if it's usable, all text is readable, picture quality is fine, then you don't have grain. The fact that you said it's brighter and clearer tells me you don't have grain at all.
-
-
I don't know what that means. Do you have the resolution set properly? That can cause a "frosty" look.
Also if your background picture is not your LCD's native res it can look a bit "frosty" I suppose as well. -

Everything is clear on this laptop. It's bright, good color quality. Just seems a bit "fuzzy". -
Truth be told, it's probably primarily in your head.
I can tell from your posting on NBR that you're a worrier. Don't worry, it's almost definitely fine -

I have an SXGA+ screen on both of my laptops, they're before "widescreen times."
Different manufacturers will look different anyway, it's not a fair comparison. -
