Wow is all I have to say. I am truely impressed by this machine. I had a T41 for 2 years and then I got a MSI 1029 and the T60 blows my 1029 out of the water in terms of quality. I'll post more later after I get Ubuntu and VMware running. I just wish the touchpad were a bit larger.

How good is the LCD? Any light leakage from bottom?

The screen is nice and bright. I haven't looked yet for the light leakage yet. I am burning my recovery disc's now.

If possible, could you please take a picture of the widthscreen screen again your old T41(if you still have it)or any other monitor? Screen quality is very important to me. I'm trying to decide which to get either a widescreen T60 or a flexview T60.
    And congrats....
    Thank you

I wish it's that easy. The widescreen model has way better spec than the flexview model. Lenovo Canada doesn't offer much of choices..sigh. That's why I want to see the screen quality.

I will try to take some photo's of the screen in the next few days. All I have to compare it to is my memory and my MSI 1029. Overall I am very happy with my purchase. I am picking up another gig tonight and I'm going to give ubuntu a rip. The screen is very bright and crisp and from my memory it blows the T41 away. The ALPS keyboard is also very nice as well and I might go as far and say it is better than the T41. Also I have minimal light leakage.

It is bright and crisp but I do have light leakage from bottom. It is not strong when looking from front, but visible from side.

Mine is 87445BU, with Samsung LCD panel and ALPS keyboard. What is yours?
