I have a T60P. I just did a fresh install of winxp (slipstream, nlite) following the guide @ http://www.kylefarnung.com/index.php/2007/02/22/thinkpad_t60_how_to_make_a_custom_oem_wi
i got all my drivers up to date and everything is working fine, however i noticed something very weird, whenever i resize windows in windows file explorer or IE (or any program for that matter) the LCD has this weird hissing noise..
well i'm not sure if its the LCD screen but it sounds like its coming from there...
ps. i also figured out my left ear has better hearing than my right ear

Or some catnip?
Is it from the LCD, or from the chassis? Lots of older thinkpads (and other computers) have a very slight electrical noise at load. Mine makes an extremely fast-rate ticking sound that comes from the GPU when I resize/move windows.
my laptop LCD makes hissing noises when I resize windows
