    hey all.

My t60 runs really really slowly when it is not plugged in. So slow that it takes a ridiculous amount of time to shut down (atleast 15 minutes). It also runs everything (firefox, word, typing etc) really jerky. For example, the mouse wont move smoothly from place to place; it jumps around as if a strobe light were on it.

When it is plugged in, all is well. This problem seemed to develop overnight. I never changed any of the battery or power settings. Anyone have any ideas what it could be?

Intel Speedstep could be slowing down your processor's speed. I have T9300 to slow down from 2.5 Ghz to 1.5 Ghz when on battery. Go into the bios or powermanager if you're still running it, and set it so that the processor doesn't clock down.
