my z60t arrived today..ordered it on Sunday nite..this is my first laptop..it was on sale - the specs are good enough for me - Pentium M 750, 1 GB RAM..it looks pretty neat..i tried everything other people have been doing..pressing the back lid = no ripple...looking at the keyboard flex..to me its sturdy enough..way better when compared to a compaq or HP...
the screen however is very dim compared to my LG desktop monitor..my wife was complaining that photos looked rather dull when compared to our desktop monitor..everything is significantly less bright with less colour. ..however, i don't really care..for all i know it'll be good enough for me to do my work..
anyways..there is this one minor issue (maybe major though)..when a I tilt the screen to a certain angle (particularly less than 90 degrees)..I can see four very small white patches at the middle bottom of the screen..yeah i don't know whether I should really care about this..but i'm planning to call lenovo to check..
besides that ..I think I am very happy coz I got this machine for only slightly above a thousand bucks..not that cheap..but not very expensive either..

Was this a preconfigured machine (ThinkExpress?) or did you configure it yourself?
-
preconfigured..

the ibm technical guy told me to send it back if I have doubts..but I will first go check with the IT guy in my dept..Jsabara..its preconfigured..why? do you tend to get lemons from preconfigured models?
-
No, he was just curious I'm sure.
