hi, my n100 (xp pro, go7300, 1.5g RAM, T2400 core duo) has a few power management quirks mostly relating to it not shutting down; so that when I come back a few hours later the battery is completely drained.

xp's power management feels very limited and I like the thinkpad's battery maximizer. i've read that the n100 is acpi compliant, is it safe to install the thinkpad's battery maximizer on my n100?

    thanks,
    matt

Can't hurt to try. Notebook hardware control would be another option.
