    i need a new t400
    my specs are---
    Core 2 Duo (2GHz min.), 2GB RAM min.
    120GB min HD,
    14.1in 1400x1050 LCD sxga,
    256MB min. ATI Radeon / nvidia,
    cdrw+ DVD RW multiburner
    drive Intel 802.11abgn wireless, Bluetooth, Modem, 1Gb Ethernet, UltraNav, Secure chip, Fingerprint reader, 6c Li-Ion,
    WinVista Business 32

    can anybody help me out with the model number / MPN
    Also is there a diff between t61 and t400? has ibm-lenovo stopped manufacturing t61 series and replaced it with t400/t500?

    i found a model as ThinkPad T400 - 2767-31Q
    Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 Ghz (P8600), 2 GB DDR2 Ram, 160GB / 7200rpm, 14.1" , Multi-Burner (9.5mm), Express Card + 7-1 Media Card, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3470 (256MB), Intel 5300 AGN (3x3), BT, FPR, Cam, 6 Cell 2.6 Ah, Win Vista Business 32.

    my only problem is the cam ? can anyone suggest me a model without one?

    14.1in 1400x1050 LCD sxga -you're not going to find this. Every T400 is 16:10; 4:3 is discontinued.

    The T400 is basically a T62, Lenovo just changed the numbering scheme.

    Lenovo maintains a full index of all preconfigured models in the Tabook. At least one, probably several, of these will satisfy your requirements. Is there a reason you don't want a webcam? Having one doesn't really have any downsides (just don't use it if you don't want it).

    also is there a diff between std wxga and wxga+ led backlit screens??? :confused:
    ofcourse apart from power consumption!!
