that's pretty much what i ordered. except i got an 80gb HD and 1gb of ram from lenovo and bought a 2gb stick from newegg, and i got vista home premium. i think we should be ok in the gaming department.

I could test out some games for you, granted ones that I have. There's a guy on here that got his t61p to score around 6000 on 3dmark, can't remember the thread name though. Just take a look at the first ~3 pages of the Lenovo forum.

I thought Quadros were for engineering, 3D stuff like that, not gaming. But then again I heard installing a driver makes it optimized for gaming..

What you say is true, but I also heard they can work good for gaming. I got mine personally because I do exactly that, CAD work heh, but I will test it out on gaming with the stock drivers sometime soon.

Not much difference at all. It's mostly an e-p enis thing.

Is this perhaps what you are talking about?:
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=209796

I have a T9300 and I must say it is very fast. As far as the differences I think the cache size on the T8300 is 3MB meanwhile on the T9300 it is 6. That's just off the top of my head though, I may be remembering it wrong. Go ahead and double check on Lenovo's site under the configuration.

the t9300 is a big jump in cost. i'd stick with the t8300. it'll be fine.

The difference is $75 right now. I'd go with the T9300.
