Hi, I just purchased a Z61t from lenovo epp program. It's pre-installed with XP pro that i ordered, but there's no XP CD nor any other CD comes with the package. I'm not sure if this is normal.
But now if I want to clean install Windoes XP Pro on my laptop, I'd assume I need a copy of XP pro CD. Can someone help me out by explaining what I need to do? I really appreciate it, Thanks!

hi! sorry to not answer your question. i just ordered a z61t through the EPP program myself.
i was just wondering when you ordered your's, and when you received it, so i can get an estimate of when mine will come.
oh, and did you get one of the preconfigured models? or did you customize it over the phone? -
They don't send you cds. You can burn recovery cds through the thinkvantage software. or i think someone said you can call lenovo and get them to send you cds if it's within 30 days...i think..

Do we call tech support or sales to request the CD?

Did Lenovo just recently stop shipping the XP CD's? When I ordered my Z61m a few months ago It came with the full install CD for XP Home.

I've never received a Windows CD from Lenovo, or with most laptops ordered. Sometimes it is an extra cost option.
You can create your own XP CD using the license that comes with your machine:

That guide is for a ThinkPad T4x, but the process is the same.
