hi. been a long time since i rapped at ya.

i have a problem with my T400. i need to use my integrated camera, and it does not exist in the device manager. at all. not even with a yellow/red exclamation point.

i've scanned for hardware changes, it does not pop up. i have tried installing the driver for the integrated camera from lenovo, but it says, and i quote, "integrated camera has not found".

now i'm back to no integrated camera in device manager. the fingerprint reader is not there either, i don't plan on using it, so it doesn't bother me, but it's strange that neither show up at all.

edit: i can get the driver to install if i cheat and install another image device, then change the driver to a windows driver, then install the lenovo driver. obviously, this does not work (says "this device cannot start" in device manager). it would be helpful if someone could tell me what their hardware id is for their integrated camera???

    any ideas???

ok. i'm an idiot. i must have disabled this in the bios a long time ago. looked in bios under i/o. then had to scroll down to see that i had previously disabled the integrated camera- AND the fingerprint reader. duh.
