I remember my previous Thinkpads came with spare TrackPoint covers in various forms.

    They stop doing that?

I love the cat tongue one, more precise than other two for me.
My R400 came with none but the original one and so did T410.
I tried to remove one from T410, but it seems that it cant be done, which is weird, because one on my R400 was simply coming off and if I turned my laptop upside down, then trackpoint would simply fall off.

I'm sure some do and a few other things too, but this is a family rated forum. We tend to have a low tolerance for anything which has sexual connotations. I believe trackpoint cap is the official name.

I was a little bit miffed that my X201 didn't come with extra caps, but not enough to be concerned. I have an entire bag of official IBM caps, ranging from the super old school type that were just a roundish nub, to all the modern designs. I really need to track that down sometime soon, my 560X is in dire need of a new cap.

I never really liked any of the other variants, but I wouldn't mind having a few extra traditional caps come with my unit. I like to make sure my ThinkPad is sporting a clean one before we go anyplace special....like on vacation, or to a tech conference.

I don't know about that, I mean, every normal human being has them; I bet even that naked guy in your avatar has them :p. But rules are rules I guess.

My X200 didn't come with spares so I had to feebay them and I'm glad I did as I got to use a different variety of trackpoints.

Probably, that's how someone I knew was able to get it.

Ive tried 3 types. My favorite one is the silicone type one that is shipped by default. THe old furry one is more sharp on the fingers and certainly gets really dirty and needs to be changed periodically.
