    HI,

    I have T61 for two months and one complain is: when I close it without power off, it has sharp noise on the moment when I close it, it lasts for about 5 seconds. Does anyone else experience the same thing? Any solutions? Thanks.

    The other complain is, it gets slower an slower and has tons of add on. I am going to to a clean XP install this weekend, I don't like Vista.

    Please observe the forum rules and bump only once every 24 hours.

    Could be the fan powering off. Perhaps next time you shut off, see if you can isolate the sound to a particular area of the laptop.
