which would you rank as a better system for 1. durability and 2. performance

    the thinkpad r61i

    or the lenovo n200

both have a pentium dual T2310 and 1gb ram

the r61 is the thinkpad line so it would be better in reliability/durability

The R61 wins in both categories (has a roll cage, durable case and is a business-class computer)....but if you want real performance, look at a standard R61.

a standard r61 may be a wee bit out of my price range
