I am almost certain that I am getting a T60 with a few upgrades.

The US site has much more customizability and the core 2 duo is available. Oh and once you convert the price, its still cheaper!
(I will get it with a 3 year warranty)

So, I want to order it from the US site and get it shipped to canada.
    Is that possible to do?
If so, can I get warranty work done here or will I have to ship it to the states?

If not possible to order to canada, I can order it to the US and drive over and bring it back (on my way back from vacation).
If I do this, can I get warranty work done here or will I have to ship it to the states?

Any/All input would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you for your time,

    Harsh

if you have it shipped into canada from the US, you will have to pay a hefty import tax.

i think it's not worth it, but you should check

there's no "problem" driving across the border and buying except for warranty issues.

The billing address must match the mailing address. I wouldn't endorse such an idea. Trust me, I understand what you are saying, I too live in Canada and see the price differences between Lenovo Canada and Lenovo US.

BTW, there are a few select models with the Core 2 Duo. Look through the 'all T models' pages.

Yep. I was not even considering getting it shipped here.
I was considering buying it online and getting it shipped to some friend's house. and when I go visit during the holidays, I can bring it back with me.

I've read that international warranty thing, and it seems like my plan will work fine.. can anyone confirm this or should I call ibm?
