    ordered a Y580 from Lenovo, should I be concerned about shipping

    So I just ordered a Y580 from Lenovo. However, I have heard that their shipping practices aren't the best. Should I be worried about receiving my product in a timely manner?

    Just curious as i am still waiting for mine but did you ever recieve yours? And how long did it take total?

    I ordered mine on the August 23rd and got it yesterday (September 17th)

    I ordered mine on August 18th and received it on Monday, September 17th. So you could be looking at about a month. On the upside, it is the newest thing you will probably ever receive, because if I understand correctly they are all made to order. My manufacture date is 9-7-2012, just 10 days before it was in my hands from Shanghai! Even the battery and the PSU were both manufactured in August of 2012.

    same here.

    what's painful is that I was a fool and paid for 2-3 days expedited shipping, and it was in transit for 8 days

    It took mine 2 weeks, it really depend on when you ordered it and if you ordered near a manufacturing cycle or a shipping out cycle. If you order it right when they have new models to ship out, yours should come faster.
