    ordered t61p but its a t60?

    Hmm at the bottom right of my screen it says t60 instead of t61, any1 else have this problem?

    hmmm well my screen resolution is 1680 x1050 so i guess it is the right screen, also the system recognizes all the parts i wanted. guess it is a t61 not a t60 o_O.

    offcentered meaning by its hinges being unequal distances? cause my hinges are not. Well my brother took my camera but i will def have pics tonight.

    mine looks exactly the same!! with with a 0 instead of a 1 lol. But then again.. mine does not have the usb near the thinkpad sign.

    I have a T60 widescreen that is off center just like the T61. Even my T41 14" is off center.

    The T60/p widescreen is slightly off centered, but the T61/p widescreen/4:3 is much more offcentered. Post pics of your T61 badged T60....This could ruin resale if you plan on ever selling it, if you plan on keeping it thats pretty cool

    I'm not disagreeing that the T61 may be a little bit more off center than previous models. I'm just saying that my T60 and T41 are off center as well. The screen being off center is not unique to the T61.

    I ordered an R61 and got an R61i. Also came with Vista Premium installed but a Vista Basic sticker on the palm rest.

    Both differences are less significant than yours though.

    Lenovo is screwy when it comes to consistency.
