I'm supposed to get a review unit next week -- we'll see. I really hope you get yours by that time, but in all honesty it's more likely you'll be setting up a poll like dietcokefiend called "Will I ever get my X60s"

    :)

I sure hope I'm not resorting to a poll in a month but I suspect you are right. Makes me so mad just thinking about it! I'm glad to hear you have a review unit coming though...seeing some detailed pics and a good review would be great. Of course, if you end up hating it that might just ruin it for me. ;)

As this is my first laptop, I'm now thinking about the other things I need...a little Bluetooth mouse, a bag or sleeve to put the x60s in, and some sort of solution for synchronizing my laptop with my desktop as I will be using both a lot. If anyone has advice on those points, I'm all ears.

I'd secretly like to get rid of my T42 and get one of those x60s. They're are so sleek and trim. Plus with the 2.5" hard drives performance won't be an issue. My T42 is so heavy and a lot time I'm using it hooked up to a 20" Dell monitor anyway. I'd miss the screen though and despite being a ThinkPad user, I am not much of a touchstick fan. Makes me the exception I guess. I wish you a speedy delivery person. Love to hear about it when you get it. As for dietcokefiend, he waited an extra two weeks from his original ship date, hardly interminable.

It's taken me months to choose a notebook. I've had nearly a dozen different makes/models at the top of my list during that time before finally deciding on the X60s. Along the way, it has been the advice and information from people here that finally led me to make up my mind. My point? Lots of high quality pictures and a detailed review for NotebookReview.com will be my very first task when the thing arrives. Gotta give back!

the 180 nit is only the "ultralight" lcd. That option isn't on the lenovo website yet
