So after tons of research I decide to buy a T500 ... I placed my order online over the weekend, I didn't get any confirmation so I called Lenovo to make sure my order went through.

The Rep found my order in the shopping cart and said he couldn't process my order because the site was down and could I wait until later in the day. I heard nothing back so I called again this morning and he said "sorry can't process your order yet, are you in a hurry.. can you wait a few days?"

I don't think I've ever bought something and had that kind of response, it's something about the website can't process orders with LED screen option due to a 'glitch in the system' ... but can't a company as big as Lenovo process my order via telephone, or manually or via email ...

I'm concerned I'm going to lose out of the special pricing that ended on the 13th, he says I won't because he can see the order in the shopping cart ... but whatever ... just please take my order :)

Having said that maybe this is a calling for me to order a new MacBook Pro instead of a T500 ....

My guess is that there is something in your order that they have a shortage of. If they accept your order and Lenovo cant fill it, then they are obligated to offer you something of equal or greater value at the same price, and they prefer to take a wait and see attitude instead of painting themselves into a corner.
