If I order a Ibm laptop with a copy of Microsoft office do I get the disks, so i can install what i want or do they put micro office in the restore partition with the rest of the stuff. Thereby chewing more hard drive space.?
thanks

I'm fairly certain they send the disks, especially since many office upgrades require them.

I have just ordered from Lenovo, and was told that they send disks with the factory installed Office as I had the same question.

You might want to look on eBay or Pricegrabber, you may find it cheaper than what IBM will charge you. Plus you'll definetly get the discs. There will probably be no support for it since it will likely be OEM, if you need it. Good Luck.
I was robbed by a sweet little old lady on a motorized cart and I didn't even see it coming.

Actually, Lenovo is having a promotion on its site, and Office is available for very good rates.

In Feb. '05 I bought a T42 with MS Office Small Busineess from IBM. Office was preloaded, plus backup disks.
