I know you're probably all sick and tired of these kind of posts, but I've been digging through all the posts about the t61p and they all say different things.

My question is kind of a two parter, you could say:

    1. There is no way to o/c the t61p with the latest drivers, correct? Does this apply to the g1s, as well?

    2. Assuming number one is correct, is there any way to go into the BIOS and overclock it from there?

See, this would be both a gaming and a school laptop, and while the t61p is a little lighter than most, and has a killer keyboard, if it can't overclock for gaming purposes, then the g1s might be a better bet...

Thanks, guys. This forum rules!!! *edit* ROFLMAO I did not expect that ________________________________to link to the "forum rules"

The latest drivers 169.04 will overclock with rivatuner or the nvidia overclock tool.
You cannot do a bios flash for the t61p

Use ATITOOL instead of Rivatuner if you are only going to OC the gpu and dont want extra unneeded trinkets that come with rivatuner. ATITOOL uses less mem , and also has an artifact detecting feature too.

and yes, this forum rules :O

    140m :default 400/600 (800 effective)@ 710/1025 (2050 effective) mem, 100% stable

so, just checking: this would make the t61p the best gaming laptop with 15.4" form factor, correct :D ?
