    Hey guys,

i just started overcloking my t61p to squeeze a little more oomph out of it.

to be on the really safe side, I got a zalman nc2000 cooler and and upping it little by little.

I've got it to go from stock of 475/950/702 to 690/1380/905.

And my temps max at 75 Celsius, when playing fear on almost max graphic settings.

However, I was wondering if there are any dangers from overclocking besides overheating?

Because I seem to have the heat problem way down. Before, my computer maxed out at 82-ish. So, from what i've read, heat is what causes the life of computer parts to go down. So i'm thinking I have a pretty good setup right now, and my t61p wont suffer much life loss. Any comments on that?

Also, can someone else post their overclocking stats? I want to c how far the envelope has been pushed safely.

    thanks guys,
    love this forum!

mine is at 600/900 core/memory but shows 648 core on the RivaTuner temperature log screen

I've seen up to 87 deg C so I had to lift the laptop on stands about 1/4 inch tall, which dropped the max temps to 82 deg C. Despite the high temps, laptop runs stable - I've played like 4+ hours at max temperatures, lol
