i've gone onto lenovo's site and used the part lookup to check what brand and make each part is. the only thing i get back is manufacturing part #, fru part # and a short description. none of these tel me what brand each part belongs to.
also, is there a way to check how much RAM the laptop can support?

Is there a particular part you were interested in? You can look in the HMM.
