    plugged in,not charging

    Just plugged in my new Y570 ideapad and get this message on the battery icon.I've tried different solutions from the net,uninstall windows upci methods from battery in device manager,nothing works.Help!

    That's normal, depending on your Energy Management setting.:yes:

    The Y470/Y570 has 2 systems for managing your battery. One is the Lenovo Energy Management system, and the other is the Windows Power Options.

    I use the Lenovo Energy Management -> Power Management Options, found in your All Programs window. I have mine set at "Best Battery Health" which discharges the battery to < 50%. My battery "meter" says "47% available (plugged in, not charging)"
