    Is it just me or do the lenovo prices seem erratic lately?

    its already been noted that the t series have been marked up ~$60

    it's not only lenovo, take a look at DELL , 30% E series but e4300 and e4200...

    It's all to do with wildly fluctuating money markets - many (all?) of the parts for your laptop will be sourced outside of the US and so when the dollar falls, price goes up, when the dollar rallies higher the price goes down.

    All of these companies are struggling to make their earnings numbers and maintain market share. Its a grand time for someone looking for a new notebook provided the economy has not wiped you out yet.

    One would think so, but it seems that prices are fluctuating up as often as down. My advice to anyone buying is try to buy from someone that will price match for a certain length of time after purchase.

    Another issue is lack of demand could lead to less supply slated for this year. But who knows exactly the economies of scale for these large OEMs. It will be interesting to see when the non-netbook market picks back up again...
