Hi. I have little big problem, and that is that I cant back up my system using thinkvantage rescue and recovery. Whole problem is that whenever I choose to back it up, window pops up telling me that its "backing up my system 0% done" However it never reached beyond that point of zero %, even after having it turned on for few hours. I tried to download latest updates of rescue and recovery and no change happened. Now even I have new message poping during the process, which says that I have reached limit of 22 gb hdd space, and should add some more space for being able to back up. Case is that I never actually successfully backed up yet so dont know where did those 22 gb came from unless its somehow backing up itself. Anyone have a clue, whats the case here ?

Ps1: Any other easy to use program would you recommend me for system back up ?

Ps2:I have one more question: How do I change fn+f4 setting, so it wont make my computer go to sleep ?

    thanks

    nab.

Resue and recovery isn't very robust or easy to use. It's one advantage is it is free! It is an imaging program..that was oem'd from someone.

Acronis True Image is better. Symantec Ghost or Symantec Backup Exec System Recovery are far superior and more reliable than Resue and Recovery. I had to remove system recovery because it locked directories and disk access and ulitmately made it so chkdsk wouldn't run.

I regulary use Backup Exec System Recovery. You can get True Image off Seagate's website. They use it with their hard drives. You can also try ghost or system recovery before you buy them to make sure they work for you.

Yes, I use DiscWizard, the Seagate version of True Image. It's not the full package as some options are not available, but it works quite well for the things I do.
