    Hey all,

The settings for both my trackpoint and volume buttons have both mysteriously changed, and I don't like it... I have an x61.

The middle mouse button which allows you to scroll by moving the mouse up and down has changed. Now it gives me a little four sided arrow thing, which is moved around and changes the scroll speed in relation to the how far it is from where it started. Before it was... different.

And my volume buttons now control volume, but don't show where I am on the 0-25 scale in green numbers...

What the heck happened! I can't believe how much both these things frustrate me...

Thanks a ton for any feedback!!!

What operating system is running on your X61? If you have the TrackPoint driver installed on your system then I would check the settings for the TrackPoint middle button (check the Control Panel) to make sure it hasn't been altered. If you just use the middle button for scrolling up/down (like myself) then you don't really need any TrackPoint software as Windows assign this action by default.

As for the volume keys you need the Hotkey Integration Package to display when you change volume or screen brightness. It's no longer in green font as this has been updated in a new black and white format.

I have Windows XP running. When I go to the control panel and check under printers and other hardware, I don't see any options for the middle button on the mouse. I see switch primary buttons (between left and right I think), but nothing for the middle. I have installed the packages and will see how they work out... Thanks for the help so far.

EDIT: Got everything working!!! Thanks a bundle.
