Hi, I have a new T61p. When I leave the laptop alone for a while, the screen shuts down after the screen saver has been present for a while. However, when I move the mouse or touch a button, I can see a very faint outline of the desktop with whatever I was working on, faint enought that I can just barely make out what's on the screen. The only way to get thigns back to normal is to restart the comp or unplug and replug it in. Then my desktop comes back on crystal clear. What's going on? Is it a hibernate bug? I've changed the power settings so that it never turns off when plugged in. Specs are: T9300, 3Mb RAM, Nvidia quadro with geforce drivers, wuxga screen 1900 x 1220... Help please.

Are you talking about image ghosting? That should go away after a couple minutes, depending on how long it takes for your screen saver to kick in.

Did you wait for it to go away?
