well like a dummy I bought a laptop off craigslist...The battery won't hold a charge, and it even gives me problems when it's plugged in. Does this sound like a battery problem or possibly the motherboard? and how expensive are these to fix? (I know nothing about computers) tia :)

If you have issues when plugged, yes it sounds like the entire board will have to be replaced. Get your money back because it will probably cost more to fix than you paid for it. Call IBM support to get an estimate.

I got a Think Pad 600x as a present in ninth grade. Now i have two questions the track point doesnt work and when a mouse is attached in the P/S2 slot i have to wiggle it to make it work right. So my question is do i need to get a new mother baord and keybaord in order to get them both to work? If that is the cast then how hard is it to do it my self. Thanks A lot who ever helps
