It's really easy to swap out a hard drive in these. Just loosen the 4 screws on the biggest panel on the bottom of the laptop, take off the cover, and take the screw the is holding the hard drive in place off. Then just gently slide the hard drive out. Don't pull upwards when you take the hard drive out as you can damage the connectors.
The upper right panel with the four screws is where the hard drive is. -
I would recommend upgrading to either 4 or 8gb of RAM along with that SSD. Its ridiculously cheap right now, and 4gb is generally the bare minimum you should be using with Win7 for decent performance.

@350 and syberia: thanks for your help and suggestion
what kind of SSD type for Y460, is it a hard drive ssd or msata ssd?
and please tell me a brand that suitable for Y460
thank you very much -
It has an mSATA slot if you want to keep your HDD, you could also replace the HDD with a 2.5" SSD. Any brand is fine, just try to stay away from anything Sandforce (OCZ, the new SanDisk drives, Patriot Pyro, etc.) as they're not known for reliability. Intel and Samsung are probably the best bets.
