I have a Thinkpad T43 whose motherboard is dead but its 14.1" SXGA+ screen is still OK.

Could I put it into an R52 (currently has a 14.1" XGA screen?)

Would the screen and connections fit?

Would I need to download a new driver (WinXP and Ubuntu)?

The R52 has no separate video card -- could the onboard video power the full SXGA+ res?.

    anyone know?

I believe it can power the SXGA+ but not a UXGA; I don't know the rest about the connectors etc.

I believe, at least as far as the T43 is concerned, the Intel cards do not support SXGA+ and the 14" R52 was never offered with SXGA+. Is there a chance it'll work? Sure, but my guess would be no.
